Rock oil or petroleum is to me a source of inspiration because it is cooked with life in the bottom of the seas, so I use oil as a means for its own expression. In the struggle to master the material and interpret it, I perceive its smell as an overwhelming perfume in the tactile contact with its slippery smoothness, as rock oil caresses everything it touches in its leaking, it never dries; it is moist and sensual, when you want to catch it with an aesthetic intent, it escapes in full rebellion, fleeting and wandering through any possible space and leaving behind an unforgettable impression. Petroleum dwells in darkness, in mysterious and deep places; sight highlights its slimy taste of aging and iridescent black, bright blue, brown sepia and golden, in its thick transparency, the hydrocarbon contains the palette of all the colors on earth.
